Christmas this year is more special than ever, catching up with friends, family and loved ones on time missed over the last couple of years. As always, there’ll be a lively and friendly atmosphere full of festive cheer making it the perfect place for your Christmas meal.
Our delicious 2 or 3 course menu oozes festive flavours combining all things traditional along with some new and original dishes.
Our Christmas menu will run from Friday 26th November to Friday 24th December alongside our normal menu.
Curried parsnip and apple soup, saffron cream, crispy parsnips served with rustic bread and butter (gfo)
Smoked salmon, fresh dill and lemon paté pot with pickled cornichons, capers and toasted sourdough (gfo)
Welsh goat’s cheese and caramelised red onion tart served with roasted beetroot coulis, candied walnuts and dressed baby leaf salad
Homemade black pudding with an apple and sage hash brown, free-range hen’s egg, Bramley apple purée and crispy crackling
Smoked chicken and ham hock terrine toasted Tan Lan parsley loaf, watercress and shallot salad with tangy pineapple and chilli pickle (gfo)
Traditional local roast turkey with chestnut, sage and apricot stuffing, pigs in blankets, duck fat roasted potatoes, honey glazed parsnips,
pan roasted buttered sprouts with pancetta and homemade cranberry compôte (gfo)
Slow braised ox cheek of Conwy Valley Beef with horseradish dauphinoise potato, celeriac puree, honey & thyme roasted carrots, caramelised shallot and red wine jus (gf)
Pan seared fillet of sea bream on a pearl barley, lemon and dill white wine risotto with grilled sea asparagus and fresh sauce vierge
Pot roasted Cheshire pheasant served with smoked bacon and puy lentils, sticky braised red cabbage, and a juniper, redcurrant, port and orange sauce (gf)
Creamy wild mushroom, mascarpone and rocket tagliatelle with crumbled feta, toasted pine nuts, balsamic glazed cherry vine tomatoes and white truffle oil (v)
Homemade traditional Christmas pudding with spiced ginger roasted plums, plum coulis and a rum and cream sauce
Cinnamon crème brulée with a homemade shortbread and locally made apple sorbet
Chocolate and orange truffle tart with caramelised clementine, and chocolate dusted Ferrero Rocher ice cream
Lemon curd cheesecake with candied lemon, blueberry and blackberry compôte and fresh cream
Spiced poached plums topped with toasted desiccated coconut and coconut vanilla ice cream and pistachio crumb (vg)
A selection of local Welsh cheese: Perl Wen, Per Las and Snowdonia Bouncing Berry
served with biscuits and a homemade fig and orange chutney, red chilli jelly and grape and celery salad (gfo) £2.50 supplement

Booking & Pre Orders
Booking is required when dining from our Christmas menu along with a pre-order. Christmas bookings must be made by telephone or in person ONLY, unfortunately they cannot be booked through our online system. Please call 01492 546 570 to check availability and book your table.
Your pre-order is required no less than 14 days before dining. You can complete your pre order online (a link will be emailed to you) or please complete the pre-order form and return to email@example.com or pop it into the pub.
Cancellations – Cancellations within 24 hours and no shows will be charged at £10 per head.

We will happily suggest some options for wines and champagnes if you would like to organise these in advance of your party, please just ask if you want some help choosing!

We are closed on Christmas Day. We feel it’s a special day and time should be spent with family and friends so we give all of our team the day off and let them enjoy it along with everyone else.
